These days I work primarily as an instrument tutor however when I wrote this piece I was working full time in a job which I wasn't enjoying & frankly wasn't very good at! I was burning the candle both ends & driving myself crazy as I attempted to maintain my private life/musical identity when there realistically wasn't enough time left in the week to do so.
So I was always being overly "Ambitious", desperately trying to find time for the things which were important to me.

My song has been a little quiet of late
Softened back to a monophonic melody
Whilst I’ve been running the gauntlet of stability
A virus finally caught up & screeched me to a pause

Feelings of being overly ambitious, & pondering if my performance is truly auspicious.
Always striving to find the time for projects which hold importance in my mind.

Consider the shape of a raindrop & existing forever in the shadow of time
Expressing the finer details of things creates connection, a current drawn from Divine
And so I tire of watching the best part of a day pass me by…

Beautiful things don’t ask for attention & all to often I feel I’m hiding out loud.

Feelings of being overly ambitious, & pondering if my performance is truly auspicious.
Always striving to find the time for projects which hold importance in my mind.
