about

The core idea for this little track was written unusually for me on the keys.
It took a good while for me to do anything with the idea because I always felt it didn’t really have enough substance within it to be made into anything substantial, I always just considered it a neat progression for jams and analysis/expansion opportunities.

Having said that; In the early stages of its creation I was convinced of turning it into a lyrical song, and as such I first wrote the melody that the slide became based upon with the intention of adding lyrics.
I never did land any decent lyrical inspiration for this one though and as such decided to turn the idea into an instrumental for my composition portfolio.

So what began life as neat idea dreamed up via notation experiments became an interesting sounding, rather raw little piece as I recorded/played all the parts for real (Unlike in "Leaning on coffee").
I found it curiously difficult to perform the delicate ideas at such a slow tempo too, & I think all aspects conjoined it has indeed ended up being an artistic expression of what a persons "Dream Space" could sound/feel like :)
