This was written at a transitional time for me & the title references a martial arts concept which I thought reflected a metaphor for how we might apply ourselves towards the various battles we face in life too.

My mind sometimes drifts with the stream if I stand by a river.
Pitching to the imagination ideas for prosperity & vigor.

Fighting from peripheries, blinkers always off.
Another stance always possible, ever renewing what may be lost.

Perhaps each day should be taken like it’s the first because the last surely feels empty, deprived of much thirst.
A new phase beginning different tasks lay ahead, recent challenges are fading & new ones over the hedge.

Having been working the here & now I sit with my words…
On my face an innocent reflective frown.

Greens white yellows & brown, purple & texture all surging from the ground.
Contrasting light bathed in fleeting & lurking sun, the windy air moves the day towards later slinking further until time has won.
