about

I couldn't not include this, it seemed the perfect prelude to The Observer.

One of the more rugged of my productions, this brief track was put together as a spontaneous recording experiment one Sunday afternoon.

A very basic progression, (Which actually became the demo idea for The Observers outro) but I captured the guitar from a rather high gained condenser mic set up on the opposite side of my bedroom.
The result is a very open, & sort of non direct room sound which I must admit has grown on me.
I was having fun messing around that afternoon, so decided to layer it with MIDI ideas too, ultimately leading to a noise-scape resembling idea before closing off which a slightly more traditional sounding, close mic positioned guitar capture.
