I actually wrote this song a few years ago & have spent a long time trying to satisfy myself with the sound of the mix.
At some point you cross a line when working on Music, once a mix has had enough effort invested you can't allow yourself to simply start again because you sacrifice not just your efforts to date but also the character & authenticity of the song. When I first hit record some years ago on the guitar backbone for this song I thought it would be preferable to not use a metronome, instead keeping it loose & "live" feeling.
However as I starting adding layers I realized I had created hard work for myself to keep everything in time! Entropy was also the first time I had tried tracking drums using my first (budget) digital drum kit, all the other drums on this album are from my new/upgraded digital kit.
My oldest friend Thomas Chadwick kindly added some unique backing vocals & I've used keys/synth & organ to help beef up the mix.

Sitting astride entropy watching colours move
From inside walls so enveloping.
It’s amusing how fast the weather changes.
The bloom of the stream surges vitality
To all that it neighbours.

Remaining previous in exact anticipation
Keeps one in charge of any given situation.
Endowing the time of thought should
Allow devolution to be thwart.

It’s wonderful the detail to be perceived when
One bothers to stop look and see.
I don’t settle easy yet I appreciate being
Allowed to pace.
Unraveling thoughts could use more speed and less haste.

Allow devolution to be thwart.

Compress into a spiral so to accelerate a gyro.
The horizon swells open the future cascades unfrozen.
Sunbeams battle to dance through plague
It’s not without difficulty
To strive to be brave.
